In this blog we will explain: how a blog is created, water savings strategies and the benefits that can be obtained for the planet and the ecosystem.

HOW TO MAKE A BLOG:

Ø To create a blog you need to download Blogger, create a Google account (Gmail or Hotmail).

Ø This asks the person who downloaded this app as he wants to be searched on this (Blogger)

Ø After having this to create a Blog you have to go to the part of the center of the page (create a Blog)

Ø After this the person will appear the following indications for this:

       • Title

       •Address

       •Theme

              

    Ø In the title that is placed it is recommended that it has to do with the address, in this it has to be stuck and finally the subject is to own. This is the aspect of the blog (it could be changed at any time).

      Ø Then in the lower right of these indications click (create Blog).

     Ø After this is going to come out a kind of blank sheet like Word and in the upper left will come out the name of the app and the title chosen 

     Ø In the upper right it says preview if you click it you can see the appearance of the Blog in this you can see what has been done in the blank sheet mentioned above

     Ø When returning 2 times, to change the look of the Blog you have to go to the left side where it says topic and this one is chosen to preference it can also be personalized: it is clicked to the one that is preferred and in the bottom right it says CUSTOMIZE >> is clicked and customized to your liking (in the upper left it says the following options to customize: Themes, Background, Advanced, Gadgets)

    Ø And to finish in the upper left where it says entries when clicking you can see all the created Blogs.

3. Which is the cost of the M³ in Bogotá?:

The District still pays the most expensive cubic meter in the country: 2,210 pesos, according to the Water Regulation Commission (CRA).

However, this value is lower than that of Latin American capitals such as Santiago de Chile (2,365 pesos) or San José de Costa Rica (12,479), but surpasses that of Buenos Aires (about 300 pesos).

In a housing of any kind, even if a drop of water is not consumed, the user charges a minimum fixed cost rate that has the Aqueduct and Sewer Company (EAAB) to guarantee the supply of drinking water to 7 million inhabitants, including those living in the outskirts and high parts of the city. That 'banderazo' or taximeter starts with a price of 6,506 pesos. These amounts must be added to the sewer rate.

In other words, spend a cubic meter of water (1,000 liters) or not consume any minimum cost 13,453 pesos, according to EAAB rates. And the average monthly consumption of liquid in a Bogotá home is 11,200 liters (11.2 cubic meters).

This cost increases according to consumption and is differentiated by stratum: it is higher in levels 5 and 6 (for the payment of contributions that subsidize strata 1, 2 and 3) and lower in the lower strata, for having the subsidized service. Why does water cost so much?

Despite the high price of drinking water and, contrary to the culture of saving that characterized the city, some families squander it.

Therefore, the EAAB sanctioned 4,201 households with the application of a double rate for exceeding consumption in more than 17 liters per month.

4. Water saving strategies: 

Fact: Hidden water leaks are a silent source of liquid waste.
To avoid this situation read your water meter and do not open a key for two hours. If after that time the indicator changes, there is an escape. By the way, see that meter frequently and check your water bill, in order to know how much liquid you use.

      

1.Repair any faucet that drips and be sure to lock the keys tightly
2. Report on broken pipes to the owner of the property or water supplier

3.Water your garden with rain water. Do it once a week
4. Avoid toys that require a constant flow of liquid, such as water guns.

5. Bathe your pets on land that needs watering.

6.Do not run water while washing dishes.

Remember that in the dishwasher you can use savory filters or also use a dishwasher.

The dishwasher is a mechanical device that saves 30 liters of water per day, according to a     study by the Canal de Isabel II and BSH Home appliances Spain. The University of Bonn, Germany, also analyzed its effectiveness. According to this academy, the amount of water consumed by a dishwasher class a reaches 15 liters per wash, compared to 119 that are spent to wash by hand the same amount of dishes.

4. Water your garden with rain water. Do it once a week.

Benefits:

Ø  Data: Water savings at home will not only benefit our pocket but also the planet.We are so accustomed to having all the water we want at our disposal at home that we forget that many people do not have access to it, a total of 783 million people in the world. This data warns us that water is not as abundant as we believe. Next we will see how saving water can benefit us.

             

  Ø  If instead of taking a shower you take a quick shower, you can save 3,500 liters of water per month

  Ø   Fix any water leak as soon as possible. A dripping tap loses up to 40 liters of water per day. 

  ØUse the dishwasher instead of washing by hand 

    and you will save up to 

    2,800 liters of water per 
    
   month. Also, use the 

   dishwasher and
 washing machine when they are full, but if you can not wait, use half load or short cycles.
              

  Ø  It uses devices for saving water as dispensers and aerators for taps and artichokes, tank reducers or consumption calculators, and you save enough liters.
